Gel Staining

When wood or walls are already painted a color, they can be made to look like stained wood without striping anything.  A new base color in tones desired is applied, followed by the appropriate colored gel stain brushed on and grained if necessary.

The surrounding brown area around the fireplace is sheetrock, which was then Gel Stained to give the appearance of a wood moulding finish.

When completed, the Gel Stain gives the appearance of a wood moulding finish.
